One thing that took me a long time to get my head around, is that the memories are fairly "smart". The memory is the memory. There is one set of memory, with two receivers accessing that data. The TH-F6 is smart enough to only display the frequencies on the "A" radio that it can tune. You cannot, for example tune to an HF memory on the "A" receiver, but you can still program it into memory.

I strongly recommend going to ebay and looking for a programming cable. I paid about $10 for mine and it works just fine. Download the software from Kenwood's site and it will be very clear how it works.
