I also connect to the radio last and disconnect from the radio first but that's mainly because that's the end of the cable that's handy. I don't see it hurting anything doing it the other way if you wanted to though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "findmydates2" <jkreski@...> To: <TH-F6A@...> Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2008 8:44 PM Subject: [TH-F6A] Data Cable Question Hi All! I am a no-code extra so someone will have to explain this slowly to me... I just bought the programming cable for my radio and I realize that with the charger - if you connect it wrong - not so good. I realize that both my computer and radio have power sources. Do I need to connect the cable to one first and then the other? Also - is there any correct order when pulling the plug from the radio and the computer? And - can or should I have the radio powered on while making the connection(s)? Just thought I would check first and try to avoid frying both the radio and the computer. Thanks in advance! I want to back-up my frequencies and settings on the computer and disks...
