Hi Robert,

Based on comments from other people, it does fine with satellites.

The reception on AM is great, especially with an external antenna.

And, before writing this, I confirmed that it will receive 853.9875 MHz.  It also does fine on the UHF public safety frequencies.

Subject: [TH-F6A] questions

I am going to buy a new HT today, first choice is the TH-F6A,,, I want to use it for satellite work when I travel,  how does it do for that?  Fm birds.

Also, I like to have available the AM radio band, I can connect a wire antenna to it in my hotel room, how is it for that?

Will it receive 853.9875??  My local Sheriff Posse  freq.  I need that.  I plan to program it with several public service scanner freq's., mostly in the 460 mhz range.
