Ken, What do you consider turning a blind eye and condoning illegal activity? I accept that what he proposed is not legal, at least his original plan. I'm not trying to help him break the law but be supportive and offer options. What he does is up to him but, at least now he knows more about the choices and can make an informed decision. I monitor GMRS with my HT quite often but, I key the mic on the GMRS radio. I too am disturbed by hams acting like the infamous CBers with linear amps but think that the answer is education not condemnation.
