Subject: penBSD test image available. Newsgroups: gmane.os.freebsd.freesbie Date: 2004-10-16 00:47:58 GMT (4 years, 37 weeks, 3 days, 21 hours and 40 minutes ago) A test image of a minimal FreeSBIE, suitable for external support like usb pen or compact flash, is now on: http://www.freesbie.org/~saturnero/penBSD/ If you want to help us on testing it, you can download image and script in the same directory, plug your usb pen, and launch flashfreesbie.sh. Possibility of booting it depends on your bios. Although the uncompressed img is 64 Mbytes (copied from my 64 Mbyte usb pen), it contains only ~20 Mbytes of data. The flash script will format your device, mount it, mount the image in loopback and copy files from it. Therefore, i think that also 32 Mbytes support will work. Please help us testing and gives us your impressions. Bye and thanks, Dario -- FreeSBIE mailing list (http://www.freesbie.org) |
