Hi,

a little update concerning exmh installation under fink and Mac OSX.

1/ metamail:
Doesn't compile out of the box. I couldn't find a patch, so I patched it
myself. It now compiles without warning. Patch available from
http://baaden.free.fr/dev/mac.html#mm27_osx_patch.tar

2/ glimpse:
Is not in fink as mentioned, but is in MacPorts. So I went the easy route
and installed it this way.

3/ picons:
If you activate picons/faces upon exmh installation (install them first via
fink and then give the proper path as /sw/share/picons), exmh segfaults
immediately upon firing up. I don't know what's wrong here. For now I
disabled faces (a pity, I really like this feature).

4/ nmh: installed from fink
5/ expect: installed from fink
6/ antiword: installed from fink
7/ uudeview: installed from fink

This all seems to work fine. Exmh installs nicely using wish (Tcl/Tk) from
fink, and it seems to work better than with a Cocoa-native Tcl port. My
current struggle is with spamassassin et al., which is not in fink. I
installed it from MacPorts.

One general question is whether Fink and MacPorts can happily live together
or whether there is some specific care to be taken for everything to work
properly. Any suggestions or comments from the Fink perspective?

Any suggestions on the picons/faces-related segmentation fault?

Thanks in advance,
Marc
