Last week, Darrin and I had the opportunity to talk with a development
professional who has approximately 12 years experience with non-profits.
She generously offered to facilitate a planning session for PTP to
create a multi-year plan. Such a plan will assist us both by providing a
framework for the work we do and how we do it, as well as being a key
document that Trusts when making decisions about grant funding.

Structure has traditionally been a touchy subject for Personal Telco,
and I for one would like to see us pursue this opportunity with
sensitivity to the concerns of our membership and other parties who have
made a contribution to PTP.

Towards this end, I would like to gather a working-group for 2 or 3
sessions to create a non-binding position about the extent to which PTP
ought to create more structure. I see these sessions as 2-3 hours with
light refreshments and light laptop use. The group would be disolved
upon completion of the document, and would not exist as an official
committee.

If you're interested in working on this with me, please let me know.

Thanks,

Michael
