Patch applied.  Please test from CVS.  I should have applied this a long 
time ago -- it is the obvious and clean fix.  Oh well, better late than 
never!

Tejun: thanks for this fix.  Sorry I left it out for so long. Should the 
highpoint controller code have the same fix?  I don't know if it also 
supports the DRIVE_TASK ioctl().  See int highpoint_command_interface() in 
os_linux.cpp.
