Subject: quirk howto?

I see the Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard needs a special quirk to make the mouse function correctly. I have this feeling that the diNovo Mini needs the exact same quirk. I also get the impression that I can add a quirk via a module parameter, but I get lost trying to figure out all the details.
