Subject: Sony SRX51P won't resume with kernel 2.6.4 Newsgroups: gmane.linux.swsusp.devel Date: 2004-04-10 14:15:08 GMT (4 years, 21 weeks, 2 days, 12 hours and 31 minutes ago) Hi, I've been successfully using swsusp on 2.4.x kernels on my laptop for about 6 months now (thanks for the great work, by the way!). Yesterday, I tried migrating to 2.6.4, but there suspend&resume doesn't work. I used a Debian kernel with the following patches: acpi-20040326-2.6.4.diff.bz2 software-suspend-linux-2.6.4-test5-whole.bz2 software-suspend-core-2.0-whole.bz2 software-suspend-core-2.0.0.37-incremental.bz2 orinoco-0.13e-2.6.2-patch.diff Kernel config is here: http://andaka.org/~andrea/config-2.6.4.magic; distro is Debian testing. Suspend works, but I can't resume (hangs on "copying back original kernel -- no status (sensitive!)"). I tried suspending in single-user mode without any modules loaded: I could resume, but after the "progress bar" finished, a lot of messages appeared on the screen and I couldn't do anything but reboot (the keyboard LEDs weren't flashing though, so I don't think it was a kernel panic). I then tried software-suspend-core-2.0.0.22-incremental instead of the 2.0.0.37-incremental patch. The result is basically the same, although when suspending without X and without any modules loaded, the resume works. However, when I then try to suspend the resumed system, it hangs on a message similar to "copying pageset1" (that is, I can suspend&resume only once). Any ideas? Regards, Andrea |
