Subject: [ANNOUNCE] udev 111 release Newsgroups: gmane.linux.hotplug.devel Date: 2007-05-10 20:19:08 GMT (2 years, 8 weeks, 8 hours and 15 minutes ago) Here comes a new udev version. Thanks to all who have contributed to this release. The tarball can be found here: ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/hotplug/ The development repository can be found here: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/hotplug/udev.git;a=summary The ChangeLog can be found here: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/hotplug/udev.git;a=blob;hb=HEAD;f=ChangeLog udev 111 ======== Bugfixes. In the future, we may see uuid's which are just simple character strings (see the DDF Raid Specification). For that reason vol_id now exports ID_UUID_SAFE, just like ID_LABEL_SAFE. For things like the creation of symlinks, the *_SAFE values ensure, that no control or whitespace characters are used in the filename. Possible users of libvolume_id, please use the volume_id_get_* functions. The public struct will go away in a future release of the library. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
