I get this same error too so I went looking on the web for info about it. Apprently quite a few people get this error and use a variety of hardware so it's not limited to one item. Most have deemed it harmless and since it doesn't seem to cause any system issues I ignore it. But I've had this on two diffrent systems. My cyrix when it was running mandrake and my athlon since it's ran gentoo. Neither had a problem tho the message at first was somewhat unsettling and bugged me til I found out it didn't seem to be anything bad going on. -- Susie arienadean <at> shaw.ca http://arienadean.tripod.com/ Digitally signed GPG Key ID: E93F0D23 Key fingerprint = 33F8 0E9D 3AD1 23E0 C70F ECC6 7871 D811 E93F 0D23 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "But words are things, and a small drop of ink, Falling like dew, upon a thought, produces That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think." - Lord Byron |
