Hi Mike, I haven't worked everything out to my satisfaction about connecting the Z to my pc but here's what I did. In /etc/conf.d/net I added the following line. iface_usb0="192.168.129.1 broadcast 192.168.129.255 netmask 255.255.255.255" Then I copied /etc/init.d/net.eth0 to /etc/init.d/net.usb0. After that, I got rid of the usbdnet script in /etc/hotplug/usb. This works pretty well for me. The only thing that's a pain. Is that when I pull the Z from its cradle I need to manually stop net.usb0 or the next time I put the Z in the cradle, the usb0 interface won't come up and I won't be able to connect. Hope this helps. Seth -- gentoo-user <at> gentoo.org mailing list |
