Hi all, I'll start up first then with the monthly status update :) * What I did last month... In the last month I've done updates on several documents, including the Gentoo Kernel Guide and XML Guide. I've written a first draft proposal for "DRP Project" [1] which won't be started before the rest of the documentation issues are dealt with. I've added the "Common Gentoo Ebuild Mistakes" and "Metadata documentation" as official documentation to /doc/en (those documents already existed, but not as official resource). I've done some cleanups in the CVS (coding style, dtd validity, typos) and tested/committed Xavier's one-page viewingand localisation wizardry on XSLT. Furthermore I've written a guide on udev [2] which will be official in a few days at most. Most of my efforts during this period however have been in getting the Gentoo Handbook installation instructions ready for 2004.0 (which at the time you are reading this should be officially out now). * What I am planning on doing this month - Fix lots of bugreports; hopefully decreasing the amount of bugreports to a number less than 10. Bugreports that are lingering without being further developed will probably be marked with "WONTFIX" or "LATER". - Check the "LATER" bugreports, see if any of those can be put back. - Create a draft separation for the documentation index (after we have a search functionality on the site) - Fix XSLT to be XSLT 2.0 conform - Start investigating the possibility of having a "Desktop Configuration" part in the Gentoo Handbook - Start on the "E-mail for SOHO" document * What I wasn't able to do this month (and why) Well, pertaining to the documentation; nothing actually.
