Hi,

There were over 40,000 nfts-3g driver downloads so far, naturally not
including that more and more distro package the driver for easy
installation. Since the feedback is still highly positive and there are
no critical bug reports thus this release focused on new functionality
and better usability.

Using this driver, you can now compile your kernel or favourite softwares
on NTFS, editors shouldn't complain anymore and hopefully FireFox will be
happy as well.

The driver was also reported to work fine with 2.4 kernels.

Major changes:

     - fix: rename was always denied if the target file or directory
existed
     - fix: renaming like 'foo' -> 'FOO' was denied in the WIN32 namespace
     - fix: fuse kernel module is automatically loaded, no need for config
     - fix: verbose mount error messages with hints for solutions
     - fix: compilation failed with gcc 2.96
     - change: top request: full read-write access to everybody by default
     - change: file lookups are always case-sensitive

Many thanks to Thomas Franken, Florent Mertens, Maarten Lankhorst, Curt
McDowell, Ales Fruman and Roland (devzero).

Distros and LiveCD's which pack and make ntfs-3g easily available: Trinity
Rescue Kit, Frugalware, Slax, Musix, Slackware, PLD Linux, Tilix, Ubuntu,
Arch Linux, Gentoo, Kanotix, Puppy LiveCD, GParted LiveCD. Thank you!

The latest BETA driver can be downloaded from:

The ntfs-3g manual and the INSTALLATION, USAGE and the KNOWN ISSUES,
TROUBLESHOOTING sections of the README file were also updated according
to the changes.
