Subject: hostapd datapoint Newsgroups: gmane.linux.drivers.madwifi.user Date: 2005-12-23 01:53:28 GMT (3 years, 2 weeks, 3 days, 12 hours and 46 minutes ago) This is probably not a madwifi problem but given the amount of trouble people are having with hostapd I thought it might be worth mentioning FYI. It appears that if hostapd is set up for PSK and EAP that it confuses the Windows XP supplicant. It doesn't reply (or doesn't reply properly?) and hostapd crashes. Other Windows supplicants like Intel ProSet work okay. If hostapd is set to use just wpa_key_mgmt=WPA-PSK instead of wpa_key_mgmt=WPA-PSK WPA-EAP then the XP supplicant is satisfied. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
