Hi Mike,

I am sending out approx. 2Mbps video stream When I set the multicast rate to 5500 (5.5Mbps) then I get the best
result on my linux based subscriber. However when I set higher rates, the quality gets worst. Is there any
reason for this?

The second thing I observed was that, this increase multicast rate works only if my subscriber is using a
madwifi driver. I conclude this because I tried to use another atheros card on a windows machine with
windows driver to subscribe to the multicast stream but the quality was bad. As a matter of fact it even
messed up the quality on my other linux based subscriber that was running on madwifi driver.

Are these expected results? Or I am messing up somewhere. Kindly comment.

rgds,
shariq
