The driver did accept 15000 as a data rate. Are these the valid data rates for 802.11g:
 
1000, 2000, 5500, 6000, 9000, 11000, 12000, 18000, 22000, 24000, 33000, 36000, 48000, 54000

I had also tried 54000 but there was no success. I will try the other rates and get back to you. Thnks a lot for you assistance.
