Hi gueys,

I try to setup my access point using madwifi (Atheros card) under 
hostapd.When starting hostapd it setup the ath0 in Master mode which is 
normal.
I want to scan the radio environment , then i setup a second virtual 
interface in managed mode , as follow :
wlanconfig ath1 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode sta nosbeacon
But when try to scan a network using :
# wlanconfig ath1 list scan
There is no result.

Using another solution, as follow :
# ifconfig ath1 up
# iwlist ath1 scanning
This command work fine but all my AP clients are disconnected and the AP 
become invisible .

What can I do for scanning from a Master mode ?
