Subject: Mac addr difference in wifi0 and ath0

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the difference between the MAC address of Wifi0 and ath0?
I have installed a PCI Wireless card and i can see the MAC address of the PCI WiFi card listed under Wifi0.
So ifconfig wifi0 will show mac as:
Example: 00:01:02:03:04:05
However the ifconfig ath0 shows the mac address as 06:01:02:03:04:05
I wanted to know how exactly the 06 is taken up by ath0?
Can anyone help me out.
