The problems with the patch are:

1) It has never been in subversion on any branch.  This means that it
has received too little testing so far.

2) It's too opaque.  It calls ath_hal_setcapability() with undocumented
arguments 3 and 1.

3) We would need testing results in all modes (master, ad-hoc, managed).

4) We would probably need some evidence that the patch makes HAL change
some registers that e.g the Windows driver would change in the same way.
It would be nice to know what the original value is before we put 1
there.

It looks like I'm too limited in time to make a release today or
tomorrow, so we could apply thins patch for others to test until the end
of August.  But first I would want to make sure that the release indeed
cannot be made today.  Otherwise, the patch would be a good candidate
for 0.9.4.2.
