You'll probably be pleased to know that our developers at Programmers of Vilnius have started a new round of work on calendaring, and the new contract includes parsing repeating events, so hopefully Sidnei will be able to add that feature to Plone calendaring in a few months as well. I was working on getting iCal to work with SchoolTool two weeks ago. It is a pain. On top of the problems Nate mentioned, it also doesn't send a Content-type. My quick observation was that "Publishing" always wiped out any existing events. I'll apparently have to test that further.
