The touchscreen driver for the Jax10 can be downloaded and installed from:

http://www.ideacom.com.tw/DR_UTS6680.htm

basic instructions below using MIC:

1. create a project for platform "menlow-lpia-ubuntu-hardy-jax10-snapshot"
in MIC
2. create a target and add fset
"crownbeach-full-mobile-stack-with-proprietary"

3. enable ideacom touchscreen (inside of MIC):
Copy idtouch_drv.so to target fs /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input
Copy xorg-compal-jax10.conf to target fs /etc/X11/

4. create target image (Live RW USB or install USB) and write it to USB

5. boot jax10 with this image:

Hi Anthony,
I encountered the same thing. There was an earlier message indicating that
the code for the touch screen interface was not open, and therefore not
available to include in the distro.

To get a feel for how Ubuntu works on the Jax10, you can plug in a mouse
and
keyboard (via a USB hub), but it sure would be nice to have the touch
screen
working.
