Hi friends, i'm finally fed up with the hh.org vs. ltg.org discussion. When we started linuxtogo we the idea was to make it a good home for all the projects we are involved in. I don't know what we did wrong, but even when Matchbox moved to o-hand it didn't end up in such a nasty discussion. I don't want to wait till this discussion makes me that annoyed that i leave the project, so i decided to set up a new GPE home at linuxtogo.org right now. That's my personal decision and not binding for anyone else... i just don't have power left for a useless fight. So back to GPE and its home - currently the plan looks like this: 1. Convert the current GPE repository to SVN and open it for public testing 2. Set up the GPE project in LTG GForge correctly and add some information about the project. 3. Create GPE mailinglists (a general GPE mailinglist and one for translation updates at least). 4. Copy the source release directory 5. Import all actively maintained subprojects and releases to LTG bugzilla. 6. Update upload/download locations in SVN. 7. Update gpe.linuxtogo.org. 8. Write and publish an announcement 9. Clean up the SVN repository If the majority of the active people decides to follow it would be nice to move the existing mailinglist as well and add a note to the old website. Everyone is invited to get involved and to come up with own ideas. We are free to select the software we want to use and how to set things up - lets step forward and see what we can improve.
