Sure, a take off is a show premise inspired by a previous show. This "take off, eh" stupidity is something different. They were not allowed to say "fuck off, eh" on TV 25 years ago. It was a big joke for a little while then everyone forgot it. Later some Americans heard something about it and assumed it was of some cultural importance. I expect someone will make a Wiki page on the subject. lol |
