In all my travels in America, from the high Canadian Arctic to the central
American states, I have never seen "Canadian bacon" outside of the USA.

I've never heard anyone in Canada refer to any sort of bacon, be it side
bacon or back bacon as "Canadian bacon".

It's clearly an invention of the USA media designed to further ignorance
in US citizens.
