    With Paul's permisssion, I want to announce that we will have a limited
number of 2nd revision LP-LINKSYS-1W adapter boards available soon. I am
trying to get an indication of interest in the boards so I can have enough
parts and sensors on hand to fullfill needs. The LP-LINKSYS-1W is designed
to be used inside a LINKSYS WRT54G/GS unit and adds 1-wire ability to the
unit. Paul and Christian Magnusson have been using the 1st revision boards
for the development of the software for the LINKSYS unit.

Adapter Features
Installation -
        Designed for minimal modifications needed to LINKSYS case, just two
holes need to be drilled! Front panel replacement label templates provided
for a good professional looking installation

 PCB -
   Board size 35.5mm x 47.5mm, Double sided board with solder masks and
      silk-screens on BOTH sides of board. Mounts inside LINKSYS.
   2 PCB holes help mounting of the adapater if used as a standalone
      bus master without the LINKSYS (standalone operation)
   +5 Volt Power supply indicator LED (Red)
   Uses a 2x5 (10 pin) connector for mounting onto the LINKSYS PCB
   Board designed to suppport both 3.3 and 5 volt signal and supply
      operation!

1-Wire Interface -
   Based on industry standard DS2480B 1-Wire bus master
   1-Wire ESD protection circuitry and Line filter built onto adapter
        (no need for additional circuitry)
   Compatible with 1WRJ45 Wire Connection system  through 8 pin mini-DIN
       connector (plug supplied) to ease use with CAT cable
    Software Available for running OWFS inside LINKSYS box!
    Support additional features with the addition of  optional circuitry
    Can be used as a TTL or RS232 standalone 1-Wire bus master interface
        without the LINKSYS!  (use of male header pins  makes it easy to use
       for  1-wire prototypes or adding to new boards, external regulated
     supply needed if not used with LINKSYS WRT54G/GS unit)

Power Supply -
    Draws power from the LINKSYS board (no other supply needed)
    Board can act as the VCC (+5VDC) power source for 1WRJ45 compatible
    boards or sensors (Use to supply power to 1-Wire Temperature sensors for
    instance, for faster more stable response).

Multiple Adapter Options to fit individual needs -
    Option #1 – Galvanic Power Isolation circuitry
        Allows for full galvanic isolation of 1-wire and serial from the
           LINKSYS unit
        Uses low power high speed logic isolators (2.5kvdc rms isolation)
           and DC-DC power isolator (3kvdc isolation)

   Option #2 – Serial port circuitry
          Addition of RS232-F serial console port (up to 250kps supported in
               hardware)
          Uses standard PS/2 style 6 pin mini-DIN connector for external
               serial connection
          Support full galvanic isolation with installation of Option #1

   Option #3 – 1-Wire Environmental monitor circuitry
         On board selection through DS2409 Hub switch
         1-Wire Monitor activated indicator LED (Yellow)
           AUX Channel
                 DS2433 provides 512 byte EEPROM for device tagging
          MAIN Channel
                 DS2438 provides following features
                      Elapsed time counter (Use as a RTC)
                     Temperature (over the range of -55°C to +125°C in
                            0.03125°C increments).
                    Current A/D used for optional light sensor (BS520)
                    Voltage A/D used for either:
                       Optional calibrated HIH-3610-003 humidity sensor
                         (Calibration data supplied), use with other sensors
                         possible
                       Or monitoring line level of  the cables A-SIG line
                        for remote sensing needs  (Could be uesed to monitor
                        a remote pot or other 0-5V device for instance)

Add  + $ 7.00   - 1-Wire Monitor A/D Kit of parts...
kit is required for use with sensors kit for humidity and or light
sensing...

Add  + $10.00 -  Galvanic Isolation DC-DC converter kit of parts

Add  +  $30.00 - Sensor Kitof parts - Includes calibrated HIH-3610-003 &
BS520 sensors & plug headers

Will be also available as a assembled and tested unit. All assembled units
include the RS232-F port and the basic 1-Wire monitor installed (except for
sensors). And include mounting connectors.

$50 - Basic assembled unit (Includes RS232 and 1-Wire Monitor circuitry but
not Galvanic Isolation or Sensors)

$60 - Isolated Basic Unit (Adds the Galvanic isolation to the above, but
still no sensors)

$85 - Fully populated (Includes everything including sensors)

Shipping and handling will be $5 (based on USPS Priority mail, $1 extra for
overseas shipments). Pay through Paypal. No money taken until products are
ready to ship.

Let me know if you are interested, and with what options and I will reserve
a unit for you, as run quanities are limited at this time. Expecting to be
able to ship during 1st or 2nd week of Feb. For those who are interested I
can supply some draft documents including case modifications, schematics
now, the full CD-ROM (with datasheets for all the parts) will be made
available on the internet as soon as I can finish the assembly manual
documents.
