Well, I've spent a lot of time with ti on this and I belive you'll be
seeing some additional free (as in beer) tools, and there have even been
some discussions in regard to ti giving some support to a gcc port.  Jason,
would you like to speak to this?

But doesn't this platform still rely on the closed-source and limited-offer
TI 
DSP assembler to code the DSP core?
