Subject: Autopackage & gtk-update-icon-cache Newsgroups: gmane.comp.autopackage.devel Date: 2007-06-08 04:23:30 GMT (1 year, 18 weeks, 4 days, 18 hours and 9 minutes ago) Hey Guys. I found a post that linked the autopackage icon with an error running gtk-update-icon-cache The result of this is that most icons dont work in areas of gnome (2.18.1,2 and 2.19.3) - in teh file chooser even. This is pretty bad though Im not sure how many people it effects or exactly why. Original output with autopackage installed ----- # gtk-update-icon-cache -f -t /root/garnome/share/icons/hicolor bad image index The generated cache was invalid. ----- I searched for the error and came up with this post that linked the problem to autopcakage. http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3487 removing /usr/share/icons/autopackage-installer.png fixed the problem. (Note, there were 2 autopackage-installer.png icons in the icons dir, I needed to remove both, cant recall where the other was) ----- # gtk-update-icon-cache -f -t /root/garnome/share/icons/hicolor Cache file created successfully. ----- So as not to be a prat I had a go at fixing the problem ;) Opening the PNG in the gimp and resaving (with all options disabled) seemed to fix the problem. Heres the resulting image http://members.optus.net/~cjbarton/autopackage-installer.png --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: autopackage-dev-unsubscribe@...
